The Winneshiek County Protectors are in need of your financial support. We are on the home stretch to the passage of a solid ordinance by the county supervisors to protect the hills and streams of Northeast Iowa from industrial-scale frac sand mining. Funds for professional and legal assistance, educational efforts, printing, and postage are needed right away. The WCP would also like to continue the monarch butterfly project and start pushing for common sense regulation of CAFO’s in our county-much as the Supervisors have already done by their sound opposition to the Millenium Ag CAFO expansion and the inadequacies of the Reick’s manure managment plan in western Winneshiek County. In short, there is a lot of work to be done and funds are needed to move these projects along. In addition to helping the WCP protect our natural resources your donation will also be tax deductible because we are a 501c3 organization. To donate please visit our donation page or mail a check to the Winneshiek County Protectors at P.O. Box 111, Decorah, IA 52101. Thanks for the help everybody.
